The Art of the Georgia Review January 29, 2010 to April 29, 2010 This informal exhibition aims to show some of the breadth of the visual art the Georgia Review has published. Tearsheets from the journal have been framed alongside two large screen prints by John Sokol that depict the authors Virginia Woolf and Samuel Beckett as made out of their own words.
35th Juried Exhibition at Lyndon House Arts Center February 21, 2010 to May 8, 2010 The 35th Juried Exhibition at Lyndon House Arts Center showcases a wealth of Athens area talent. Over 740 art works by 291 artists were entered in the competition this year and 142 pieces were selected. Paintings in oil, acrylic, watercolor and mixed media, large and small sculpture, works in clay and in fiber, jewelry, photographs, drawings, prints, and other works can be seen in four galleries.
