Athens Farmers Market May 11, 2010 to November 16, 2010 Come celebrate treasures that are uniquely ours. Our food grown in our soil by our farmers. Our crafts made in our homes by our artists. Our music, our merriment, and our memories shared with the young and the old alike on Saturday mornings at Bishop Park and Tuesday afternoons downtown. Live music every Saturday!

Downtown Athens Christmas Parade of Lights December 2, 2010 Athens' annual downtown Christmas Parade of Lights ushers in the holiday season each year on the Thursday following Thanksgiving. Over 60 floats, bands, and other groups parade through downtown streets awash in twinkling lights. The theme for the 2009 parade is "A Gift from the Heart."
