Bulldog Break
on the University of Georgia Campus
Day One
UGA's nationally ranked Division I-A teams and state-of-the-art facilities offer nonstop sports action in Athens. Gymnastics, Baseball, and Men's and Women's Basketball are among the many wonderful options for groups. You can check the schedules for your favorite sports at www.georgiadogs.com and plan your trip around the big event.
Take a guided tour of Athens and learn about UGA's contributions to national and international athletics. Not to be missed is the Butts-Mehre Heritage Hall, a museum of UGA sports history, featuring the Heisman Trophies won by Hershel Walker and Frank Sinkwich, as well as the 1980 National Championship trophy. Group tours of the new, state-of-the-art training facility for the title-winning women's gymnastics team at Stegeman Coliseum are also available when the facilities are not in use.
Your group can eat hot dogs at The Varsity, or have sandwiches in the UGA-spirited decor of the Broad St. Bar & Grill in Downtown Athens before the competition strikes up. After the game, celebrate a Georgia victory downtown in one of Athens' many nightspots. You'll be ready for a good night's sleep at your hotel.
Overnight in one of Athens' fine properties.
Day Two
Don't leave town without a keepsake from your championship tour! Stroll around downtown and stop at one of many UGA souvenir shops in the morning before you make the trip home.
