The UGA Performing Arts Center hosts renowned flutist James Galway, as he travels the country on "The Legacy Tour." The show will be held at the Hodgson Concert Hall on Thursday March 7 at 8 p.m. The living legend of the flute, Sir James Galway is revered as both the supreme interpreter of the classical flute repertoire and a consummate entertainer whose appeal crosses all musical boundaries. For the Legacy Tour, Sir James is joined by his wife for a program that includes Mozart’s Flute Quartet in D Major, Debussy’s "Clair de Lune," Bizet’s "Carmen Fantasy," Irish folksongs, and Henry Mancini’s "Pennywhistle Jig."
The Georgia Museum of Art, located adjacent to the Performing Arts Center, will be open for dessert and gallery tours prior to the concert.
