Athens Academy's newest art exhibition is scheduled for Myer's Gallery, March 3-April 17. In Color and Clay: Art in Harmony, painter Warnock and ceramist/photographer Cindy Lou Farley, will display distinctive representations of their special fields in an exhibition that bridges medium, style, and personality.
"We think the variety in the exhibition will impress patrons and admirers of all forms of art," Gallery Director Stueck said. "Charles Warnock's work in oils and acrylics, usually depicting vivid floral subjects, are most often large and colorfully bold, and are visually commanding. Cindy Lou Farley's sculptural and functional ceramic objects bring a lively dimension to the show that can only be found in clay art. Her photographs depict subjects found locally and while traveling."
Opening reception for Color & Clay: Art in Harmony will be on Sunday, March 3, 2-4 p.m. The exhibition will be open free of charge to the public, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., through April 17. The Myers Gallery is located in Athens Academy's science and arts building
