Work of art is an apt term, suggesting not only a process resulting in an object, but a labor and its attendant economies. Opening March 23, 2013, ATHICA presents Worked, an exhibition highlighting the labor that goes into art making along with work that that addresses more conventional ideas about...well, work.
This exhibit is curated by Katherine McQueen and features: Lauren Adams (Baltimore, MD), Elizabeth Barton (Athens, GA), Laura Tanner Graham (Chicago, IL), David Ross Harper (Chicago, IL), Scott Ingram (Atlanta, GA), Ted Kuhn (Athens, GA), Maria Lux (Champaign, IL), + Leslie Snipes (Athens, GA).
