The Volstead restaurant and bar atmosphere highlights much of the historic aspects of the downtown building it occupies, which was built in the 1870s. The exposed brick and pressed tin ceiling are designed for a prohibition-era feel, and the namesake of the bar itself, Andrew Volstead, was the Republican congressman who authored the federal act calling for enforcement of prohibition beginning in 1920. OPEN: 11:30 a.m. - 2 a.m., Monday - Saturday and noon to midnight Sunday.
