Canopy Studio community arts center offers exhibits, performances, and classes in flying dance trapeze, movement education and performance arts. Guest artists have included members of the famed Cirque du Soleil troupe.
Church-Waddel-Brumby House/Athens Welcome Center
One of Athens' four house museums, this Federal-style house, ca. 1820, is believed to be the city's oldest surviving residence and is a historic spot for a small meeting or reception, and also home to Classic City Tours, which offers several tour options for groups.
Ciné
Downtown Athens' only art house cinema screens the latest independent and international films, as well as documentaries, festival discoveries, and classic movies. More than a movie theater, Ciné is a modern arts center, featuring an exhibit gallery by local visual artists. Housed in a restored building utilizing new urbanism principles, it is Athens' new, lively, and stimulating gathering space.
Classic Center, The
Located in the heart of historic downtown Athens' shopping, dining, and entertainment district, The Classic Center offers over 80,000 square feet of flexible meeting and exhibit space that includes 29 breakout meeting rooms and space for up to 300 8' x 10' booths, and a 2,053 seat theatre.

Georgia Museum of Art - REOPENING early 2011
The GMOA houses a permanent collection of over 9,000 works as well as a variety of traveling exhibitions. A 200-seat auditorium and large reception hall are elegant event spaces. A two-year expansion project is currently underway; the museum will re-open in early 2011 with triple the gallery space.

Morton Theatre
One of the first vaudeville theatres in the U.S. built, owned, and operated by an African-American, the Morton opened in 1910 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This 544-seat theatre now functions as a community performing arts space and host touring shows. The Morton Theatre is also available for rent for lectures, seminars, small banquets, meetings, conferences, and receptions.
Sandy Creek Nature Center and ENSAT Center
Sandy Creek Nature Center, nestled among 250 acres of woodland, fields, and marshland, provides a secluded, tranquil setting for a meeting, conference, or retreat.
Seney-Stovall Chapel
The Seney-Stovall Chapel was built in 1882 as the chapel for the Lucy Cobb Institute, a boarding school for girls that opened in 1859. Sitting at the edge of the University and community (near the Varsity), this unusual octagonal building with an exquisite Victorian interior has been restored in a way that allows for its use by a wide variety of University and community groups for plays, concerts, lectures, weddings, meetings, and other special events.
State Botanical Garden of Georgia
The State Botanical Garden of Georgia, a unit of the University of Georgia, is a 313-acre preserve established in 1968 for the study and enjoyment of nature. Four buildings set within the Garden offer unique facilities for a diverse range of events.
Tate Student Center
A recent expansion, opened in 2009, added 100,000 square feet and doubled the size of the Tate Center, which first opened in 1983. The $58 million project drastically increases space for student programs and activities in the heart of UGA campus.

Terrapin Brewery
Terrapin Brewery, In Tune with Your Taste - Terrapin Rye Pale Ale was released in Athens in April 2002 at the Classic City Brew Fest. Six months later, this beer, which was sold only in Athens, was awarded the American Pale Ale Gold Medal at the 2002 Great American Beer Festival, the most prestigious competition in North America.
