Classic City Tours
Classic City Tours, operated out of the Athens Welcome Center, provides a full range of tour and transportation services for individuals and groups. Set out on your own with a self-guided tour map, pick up a NEW audio tour, take one of the daily guided heritage tours, or schedule a customized tour for your area of interest. Tour of Historic Athens:
Witness the evolution of Athens on this fascinating bus tour! Some of the sites on this tour include downtown Athens, historic neighborhoods, and selected sites on the University of Georgia campus.
When: Departs at 2:00 p.m. daily from the Athens Welcome Center (Tuesday and Thursday tour is the Museum Mile Interiors Tour, see below)
Approximate running time: 1.5 hours
Cost: $15.00 per person
Group Rate: Groups of 10 or more are $12 per person with advance notice.
Museum Mile Tour of Historic Interiors:
The NEW Museum Mile Tour is a two-hour tour of Athens' four unique house museums. In each house, you will see a different era of Athens history, from the 1820 Church-Waddel-Brumby House, to the 1840s Taylor-Grady House, and the 1850s Ware-Lyndon and T.R.R. Cobb Houses.
When: Tours depart from the Athens Welcome Center at 2:00 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 10:30 a.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Approximate running time: 2 hours
Cost: $20 per person

Shuttle Services
Rent the Classic City Tours bus and a driver for $50.00 per hour.

Step-On Tour Guides
If a group with its own bus comes to Athens and would like a tour, a Classic City Tours guide will "step on" the bus and give a Tour of Historic Athens.
Cost: $50.00 per hour. Advance notice required.
Specialty Tours and Corporate Tours
Classic City Tours can create tours for special events and conferences. Some of the specialty tours available include gardens, a walking tour of downtown, African-American Heritage, music heritage, and museums.
