RXRAD holds a First Friday event when on the first Friday of every month, studios and businesses are open for the public to browse and enjoy art, occasionally music, food and refreshments. It's a great way to introduce this artist district to the public and encourage support for the arts.

The Railroad Arts District of Athens, Georgia is a collective of artists and businesses centered around the CSI railroad tracks that run through the north end of town. This area is comprised more or less of the Leathers Building on Pulaski St., the D.O.C. Building at 585 Barber St. and the Chase St. Park Warehouses at Tracy and Oneta. RXRAD is a collective of artists and businesses interested in promoting visual and performing arts.
