Louis Griffith Hospitality Leadership Award

Purpose
The purpose of the Louis Griffith Hospitality Leadership Award is to acknowledge an outstanding management-level individual in the local hospitality industry.  Individuals must display foresight and exceptional leadership skills and have positively impacted the Athens-Clarke County hospitality industry and the community as a whole.

Who Is Eligible
Candidates must be management-level employees.  All nominees must work in Athens-Clarke County at the time of nomination and subsequent award.

Who May Submit Nominations
Clients, employees, employers and community organizations may submit nominations.

Judging Criteria
Nominees are evaluated on management, leadership skills, and their vision for the hospitality industry.

 

Hospitality H.E.R.O.E.S. Awards
(Hospitality Employees Recognition of Excellent Service)

Purpose
The Hospitality H.E.R.O.E.S. (Hospitality Employees Recognition of Excellent Service) Awards program recognizes front-line employees in the hospitality industry who exceed normal expectations and requirements to provide excellent service to Athens-Clarke County visitors and residents.  These individual employees represent their employers and Athens as ambassadors of outstanding service.

Who Is Eligible
Candidates must be front-line employees.  All nominees must work in Athens-Clarke County at the time of the nomination and subsequent award.

Who May Submit Nominations
Supervisors, employees, co-workers, customers and managers may submit nominations.

Judging Criteria
Nominees are evaluated on attitude, workplace knowledge, and familiarity with the community, communications skills, and the ability to exceed the visitor’s expectations.
