After a few days of our wintry weather event, you'll want to get out of the house and about this weekend in Athens. There's so much to see and do, including Athens Wine Weekend,
great UGA sports action, high culture with the Atlanta Symphony, and family activities

Athens Wine Weekend is a feast for the senses with a slate of events featuring wine-food pairings and presentations from featured chefs, a Grand Tasting, and a seminar schedule on a variety of topics presented by wine experts.
UGA Sports Action
It's a great weekend for UGA sports with many teams at home, all on Saturday.
- The Gym Dawgs take on Kentucky at 4 p.m. Princess makeovers will take place in the McDonald's Kids Zone.
- UGA Women's Tennis plays against Clemson at 12 noon. The first 500 fans will receive a Women's Tennis schedule magnet, and there will be an Athens Regional Health System t shirt toss plus Bulldog Trivia giveaways. Admission is FREE!
- UGA Swim & Dive has a meet against Alabama at 11 a.m. It's Senior Day, so come out to recognize these dedicated athletes. Admission is FREE!
After this crazy cold January, we're sure everyone is eager to know whether we're in for an early spring or have more winter ahead of us. Celebrate the ancient weather-predicting tradition at Bear Hollow Zoo's Groundhog Day. Crafting will begin and the Exhibit Hall will open at 10:00 a.m. Don't miss Gus's prediction at 10:30 a.m., followed by a program at the Amphitheater focused on animal behavior in the winter.

With successful careers in both the solo and chamber music worlds, Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg continues to enthrall audiences around the globe as one of today's leading violinists. She joins Abaddo and the orchestra in a performance of Shostakovich's Violin Concerto No. 1. The exciting all-Russian program also includes Mussorgsky's Prelude to Khovanshchina and Rachmaninoff's Symphonic Dances.
