If you prefer a for active experience join friends for the Green Eggs and Hammered event as you enjoy an evening at Starland Pizzeria, The Foundry the rooftop at Georgia Theatre and Cutter's Pub.
ST. PATRICK'S DAY FESTIVAL
The first ever Athens St. Patrick's Day Festival is right around the corner! On Sunday, March 17, Clayton Street and College Avenue will shut down so DJ’s, vendors, and live music can take over the scene. Enjoy drinks at Flanagan's and the Half Moon Pub, Jerzees Sports Bar, and many other spots in Downtown Athens beginning at 1 p.m. Come have a good time with your friends and family at this free event as you listen to live music, get henna tattoos and drink your favorite beer with friends in the beer garden. This family-friendly festival will also include children’s activities like a bounce house and games.

Begin your St.Patrick’s Day weekend early on Friday, March 16 as you venture over to Pouch Savory Pies for a delicious St. Patrick’s Day feast. Their traditional shepherd's pie, tenderloin steak with bacon, green beer and more will surely get you in the mood to celebrate St. Patrick's Day for the rest of the weekend.

Stop by one of our breweries for great beer and fun! Southern Brewing Company will open its taproom a few hours early on St. Patrick's Day. Come to this southern-style St.Patrick's Day celebration and listen to live music as Louis Pelot and Brandon Reeves perform. You don't want to miss this fun event not only will there be music, but also a food truck and green beer!
Saucehouse BBQ knows how to have a good time, and their St. Patrick's Day Celebration is just one of the many fun events happening that weekend. Head over to this spot to enjoy drinks and watch Irish dancers perform. Performances from the Athens Dance Academy will perform Irish step dancing and an Irish bag piper will play during this festive evening. Not only will there be green beer for adults and green lemonade for the kids, but also special deals on adult beverages will be offered. This is one St. Patrick’s Day event you don’t want to miss.
