Celebrate vulture culture at the fifth annual local celebration of International Vulture Awareness Month on Saturday, October 13th! The festival will take place at the ACC Landfill Outdoor Classroom.

A Bird Walk led by the Oconee Rivers Audubon Society will begin at 8:00 AM. Festival activities begin at 9 AM! 

Join the ACC Solid Waste Department Recycling Division, Bear Hollow Wildlife Trail, and the Oconee Rivers Audubon Society as we celebrate Nature's Cleanup Crew - the Vulture! Vultures are vital to healthy ecosystems and face a range of threats in many areas. There will be fun educational activities, a vulture ambassador, food, a scavenger hunt, a bird walk, and much more! This is a FREE event for the whole family!
