Fred Birchmore is an Athens legend, most well-known for his 1935 trip around the world on his bicycle. As former president of the Kiwanis Club of Athens, Fred's legacy lives on through this annual fundraiser in his honor.
This fundraiser supports the mission of the Kiwanis Club which is "changing the world one child and one community at a time." The funds raised here go directly to feeding the hungry through Our Daily Bread, providing educational support for disadvantaged youth at various elementary schools, and educating families of various assistance programs. Come out and enjoy a great race supporting the mission of the Kiwanis Club.

Awards are given to Overall Male / Female, Masters Male/Female and the following
5-year age groups: 10 and Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and Over.
Participants may run 3.1 miles anywhere and submit your finish time HERE.
Virtual participants are not eligible for t-shirts or race day awards.
A Virtual participant may not use their time as a Peachtree Qualifying time.
