Tony Award®-winner and legendary Broadway star Ben Vereen is Steppin’ Out at The Classic Center Theatre on Friday, November 4 at 8 p.m.

 Ben Vereen has performed in some of the most notable Broadway productions, television series, films and variety shows of our time. A Tony Award® and Drama Desk Award™ winner for his renowned performance in Bob Fosse’s Pippin, Vereen’s Broadway credits include Wicked, I’m Not Rappaport, Chicago, Hair, Fosse, Jelly’s Last Jam, Jesus Christ Superstar and A Christmas Carol. Vereen also received Golden Globe® nominations for his performances in the film Funny Lady and the television show Ellis Island, as well as a Prism Award® for his role in Grey’s Anatomy and a NAACP nomination for his role in Hallmark’s An Accidental Friendship.

 On top of being inducted into both the Theatre Hall of Fame and the Dance Hall of Fame, Vereen continues to perform, act and direct, recently completing the new TV series Sneaky Pete for Amazon, and has begun filming for another television series called Making History for Twentieth Century Fox. Vereen can be seen next in the Twentieth Century Fox remake of the cult classic Rocky Horror Picture Show this Thursday at 8 p.m.

 Vereen remains an advocate with the non-profit organization American for the Arts, having advocated for arts education, as well as performing, at the 2016 Democratic Convention. He continues to give motivational speeches around the country and is a celebrity ambassador for the pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk, which specializes in the production and distribution of diabetes care medications and devices.

 Vereen continues to tour throughout the United States with his concert act Steppin’ Out with Ben Vereen, a performance full of classic standards and Broadway hits.
