Classic City Band Spring Concert

The band is back at Hodgson!

Classic City Band, Georgia's oldest continuously-opperating community band, will be returning to Hodgson Hall for another spring concert. We think you're going to LOVE this line-up titled "Something Borrowed, Something Blue". This program contains music old and new, some composed for bands, some arranged, with the anchor piece being "Rhapsody in Blue", with Rebekah Boles as soloist. Will also feature a few of their own members as soloists for the event. Carter Stanfield, trombone, will perform "Blue Bells of Scotland" and clarinetists Tom Cooper and Francis Riznor will perform "Concertpiece No. 2". As noted in the full program below, they also hope to have a few choir/chorus members from the Athens area joining us for the showcase, as well as, a special guest conductor from the UGA School of Music.

Performance will be held at UGA's Hodgson Hall on Sunday, March 24th. Show is FREE!
