In 1999, a group of aspiring jamsters in Athens GA converged to share an evening of live Grateful Dead music with the local townsfolk. With Deadheads still grieving over the loss of Jerry Garcia a mere 4 years earlier, these Athens musicians were united by the conviction that the world needed more live Grateful Dead music.
That fateful evening (dubbed "One More Saturday Night”) swiftly morphed into the touring machine known as COSMIC CHARLIE, which proceeded to deliver its special brand of high energy Grateful Dead to audiences across the Southeast and beyond. Now, 25 years and roughly 1000 shows later, the convergence has grown stronger than ever.
