Now on display in the UGA Special Collections Library Rotunda Gallery, The Golden Age of Broadway is a class-curated exhibit showcasing classic Broadway musical posters and artifacts. Created by students under the guidance of George Contini, Josiah Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professor in the UGA Department of Theatre and Film Studies, along with archivists Jan Hebbard and Mazie Bowen from the Special Collections Libraries, the exhibit highlights visually striking designs from the Hargrett Rare Book and Manuscript Library’s Samuel Golden Theater Collection.
The exhibit will remain on display until mid-August at the UGA Special Collections Building. The galleries are open to visitors for free from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, with extended evening hours until 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
