Victoria Dugger explores identity, disability, and Southern heritage through a reimagined Southern Gothic lens. Her exaggerated, anthropomorphic figures—often adorned with pearls, frosting, and glitter—merge beauty with decay, reflecting themes of isolation, desire, and visibility. Drawing on Southern domestic iconography, Dugger uses humor, body horror, and excess to challenge perceptions of beauty, femininity, and survival, reclaiming space for often-overlooked bodies.
