Now this Renaissance man also serves as director of Georgia Sea Grant and UGA Marine Extension, a unit of the UGA Office of Public Service and Outreach.
Risse will relay his experience throughout Georgia and its coast, studying groundwater and sea level rise, teaching summer campers and city officials, working with farmers and fishermen, to explain how sustainable growth presents opportunity. 7:00 pm, reception following, free but reservations required 706-542-6138 or garden@uga.edu.
