The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department will present will “Journey through the Stars” this fall at the planetarium at Sandy Creek Nature Center.
“Solar System Walk” is scheduled for Saturday, September 21 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. How big is our solar system? Explore what makes up our solar system and then go for a walk to visualize how spread out it is.
“Fall Skies” is planned for Saturday, October 19 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Learn what you can see in the skies this fall.
“The Dot” is set for Saturday, November 16 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Learn about Earth and what makes our planet special. After the show, create your own Earth art by using dots.
The program fee is $5 for an Athens-Clarke County and $7.50 for a non-Athens-Clarke County per session. Online registration is underway at www.accgov.com/myrec by clicking the “Nature” tab. This program has an admission fee and is not scholarship eligible. Pre-registration is required. All participants must register. No children under five years of age, please. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
