Namita Wiggers is an American crafts curator, educator, and writer based in Portland, Oregon. Wiggers is the director and co-founder of Critical Craft Forum and teaches applied craft and design at the Oregon College of Art and Craft, the Pacific Northwest College of Art and Portland State University. Wiggers served as the director and chief curator at the Museum of Contemporary Craft from 2004 to 2014. Her scholarship and writing often deals with analyzing aspects of craft and their relation to societal status. Presented in collaboration with the Lamar Dodd School of Art and in conjunction with the exhibition “Crafting History.”
