Special Alert

Hear about the rise of coyote activity in metropolitan areas and strategies for avoiding human-coyote conflict from wildlife ecologist Dr. Chris Mowry, an associate professor of biology at Berry College and co-founder of the Atlanta Coyote Project. Dr. Mowry separates fact from fiction and reveals some surprising new information captured with hidden "coyote cameras."

Whether you are captivated, concerned, or just plain curious when it comes to coyotes, understanding coyote behavior and preventing conflict before it develops is the key to coexisting peacefully with our wild neighbors.

The mission of the Atlanta Coyote Project is to provide the public with accurate information about the biology and natural history of coyotes, to gather data on local coyote sightings and encounters, and to conduct scientific research on the area population.
