Museum Mix

After an almost three-year hiatus, the Georgia Museum of Art at the University of Georgia will hold Museum Mix on August 11. The late-night art party features a live DJ, free refreshments and open galleries. 

The event is from 8 p.m. until 11 p.m. and will feature local award-winning DJ Chief Rocka, who will have his first set at the museum. He noted, “I love the energy and feedback from the crowd and will be playing an open genre set.” Exhibitions on view include:

• “Kristin Leachman: Longleaf Lines”
• “Decade of Tradition: Highlights from the Larry D. and Brenda A. Thompson Collection”
• “Graphic Eloquence: American Modernism on Paper from the Collection of Michael T. Ricker” 
• “Jennifer Steinkamp: The Technologies of Nature”
• “In Dialogue: Views of Empire: Grand and Humble”
• “Power and Piety in 17th-Century Spanish Art”
