In celebration of Pride Month, Historic Athens is relaunching the popular Queer Space Tour, a guided two-mile walking tour that explores Athens’ LGBTQ+ history. Tours will take place every Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 AM throughout the month of June, led by Historic Athens Welcome Center tour guide Rin Gunn. Five dollars from every ticket sold will be donated directly to Athens Pride & Queer Collective (APQC) to support their work.
The tour begins at Memorial Hall on the University of Georgia campus and ends in downtown Athens. Recommended parking is available at the Tate Student Center. Participants are encouraged to come prepared with a smartphone and earbuds or headphones to fully engage with the tour’s audio components.
