Around the Kitchen: Intro to Cooking LUNCH LAB 1 Day Camp Summer 2026
Mini Chefs Ages 6-7 - Tuesday, June 16th - Single Day Session from 9-11 am
This fun and hands-on mini camp is the perfect introduction to cooking for mini chefs! They will learn important kitchen basics like safety, simple knife skills, measuring ingredients, and working together in the kitchen.
Mini chefs will mix, measure, chop, and assemble simple recipes while exploring new ingredients and experimenting with different flavor combinations. Along the way, they’ll practice independence, teamwork, and creativity in a supportive environment.
This class includes a snack and drink that students help prepare themselves—because food always tastes better when you make it yourself!
The Mini Chef’s Lunch Lab
In this hands-on session, kids move up to the main course by preparing a fully customized deli-style wrap or "Pizza Bagel" from scratch! We’ll dive into kitchen organization (Mise en Place) and the art of flavor layering, where students experiment with different spreads and veggies to find their perfect taste profile. After assembling their creations, they’ll learn safe oven/stovetop basics to melt and toast their lunch to perfection.
