"To Live" in the Year of the Dog: NEA Big Read Public Kickoff: A ‘Lunar New Year' Family Art Day

Get excited for this free, family-oriented event aimed at exploring and creating art forms inspired by this year’s NEA Big Read book, “To Live,” by Chinese author, Yu Hua. Education curator at the Georgia Museum of Art, Dr. Steinmann, will lead Asian-inspired Art activities such as lantern making and calligraphy.

Storytime Discussions will take place based on the inspiring, award-winning work of Hua and Asian American Young Adult and Children’s author, Grace Lin. Dr. Cahnmann-Taylor & students will play Mandarin language games every 30 minutes; players take home a copy of Lin's book "Year of the Dog."
