- Presented By: UGA Athletic Association
- Dates: October 14, 2022
- Location: Downtown Athens GA
- Time: 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Homecoming at the University of Georgia is a time for Bulldogs of the past, present, and future to come together in celebration of University traditions and the Bulldog spirit.
2022 is especially sweet, as it is UGA Homecoming's 100th anniversary.
Festivities will take place all week for students, but the action for visitors really kicks off on Friday at 6 PM with the annual family-friendly downtown parade. The Homecoming Parade is tradition in which students, schools, colleges, alumni, and local businesses showcase their Georgia spirit to the University and Athens community. The parade travels through the downtown Athens area and is free of charge to attend.
A variety of other events will be taking place throughout the week, including numerous alumni reunions and tailgates. On Saturday, watch the Dawgs take on the Vanderbilt Commodores between the hedges, where the 2022 Homecoming King and Queen will be revealed at the halftime show.
Feel like partying? Official alumni chapter game-watching parties are sure to give you that 'Saturday in Athens' vibe no matter where you are on game day. This season, you have a chance to win a football signed by Kirby Smart just for showing up and signing up. See you there in red and black, bulldog fans! Find an official party near you here.
