ATHICA: Athens Institute for Contemporary Art

ATHICA is dedicated to educating and informing audiences about topics relevant to the exhibitions by providing a space that encourages innovation and discussion. Exhibits feature contemporary art by regional, national, and international artists.
With interdisciplinary panel discussions, individual artist presentations, video screenings, collaboration with local non-profit groups, and contemporary art activities for children, ATHICA is a hub for new ideas in our region, providing a venue for dialogue concerning contemporary art and its role in society.
UPDATE Spring/Summer 2018:
ATHICA will be moving from Tracy St. to a new gallery space in the Leathers Building on Pulaski St. A farewell to Tracy St. party will be held in late June, and the first exhibit in the new gallery will open on August 19, 2018.
Admission is by donation and free for members. Free street parking is available.
GETTING TO ATHICA:
From downtown Athens, go west on Prince Ave. to Barber Street and turn RIGHT. Cross the railroad tracks and Tracy Street will be at the bottom of the hill. Turn LEFT onto Tracy Street and continue past the concrete plant. Chase Street Warehouses and ATHICA are on the right.
