Mural: Birds of Heaven

“Birds of Heaven” is David Hale’s latest contribution to Athens’ growing population of outdoor murals. Located near the hospital’s emergency department, the mural was commissioned by St. Mary’s Health Care System to lift the spirits of patients and specialists alike. Slightly straying away from his traditional red and black palette, Hale painted blue and black birds flying among red, pink and green trees in his signature style that emphasizes geometric forms and bold line work.
