The Athens Georgia Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) is a proactive sales and destination marketing organization for Athens, Georgia. The Athens CVB is charged with increasing the economic impact of the hospitality and visitor industry by attracting individual visitors, group tours, and meetings and conventions to Athens. The Athens Convention & Visitors Bureau is a division of The Classic Center Authority and is funded through Athens-Clarke County's hotel-motel tax of 7%*.
*Hotel-motel tax is allocated as follows: ACC receives 14.29% of collections, the CVB 31.42%, and The Classic Center 54.29%.
