Founded in 1945, the Georgia Museum of Art at the University of Georgia houses a permanent collection of more than 18,000 works of art as well as 20 to 25 temporary exhibitions a year. The Jane and Harry Willson Sculpture Garden hosts rotating exhibitions of work by women sculptors. Strengths include American painting, works on paper, southern decorative arts and self-taught art, as well as works by African American artists and a Samuel H. Kress Study Collection of Renaissance and Baroque art. The official state museum of art, the museum offers free inspiration for everyone.

Tour groups are welcome, and free educational group tours on a variety of topics are available by request. Each docent tour is tailored to your group's particular needs and interests.
Meeting and Event Planners
As part of the stunning complex, a 200-seat auditorium is available for performances, lectures, and meetings. A large reception hall can be rented for receptions and other group gatherings, as can the sculpture garden and a meeting room with a/v and a capacity of 75.
