ATHENS, Georgia (March 9, 2015) -- The Athens Convention and Visitors Bureau's (CVB) Athens Visitors Guide has won a Best Ideas Award from the Georgia Association of CVBs (GACVB). The Best Ideas competition recognizes creative excellence and effectiveness in marketing, advertising, and promotional campaigns. The Athens Visitors Guide won in the category of Collateral Materials and the award was presented at the GACVB Winter Meeting, held February 23-25 in Valdosta.

 

The Athens Visitors Guide was completely re-imagined for 2014-15 with a new layout and design that communicates the vibrant college town's creative energy. The Guide lets visitors know where to find "the best of the best" and includes comments and suggestions submitted through social media along with media accolades to provide objective and crowd-sourced content.The Athens CVB created this brochure with ad sales and graphic design support from the Athens Banner-Herald.
