Submit an Event

Please review and make note of the following criteria before submitting the form:

1. The event must happen in Athens-Clarke County.
2. The event must be open to the public and also be of interest to visitors.
3. We do not post religious or political events. Fundraising events such as galas that are primarily targeted to local residents are also not posted.
4. Images are required.
   • Images should be landscape or horizontal, rather than vertical, and as high-quality as possible.
   • You must have media rights to the images you submit, and must verify that VisitAthensGA.com has permission to republish the images.
5. Recurring or annual events:
   • Please log into our Extranet to update your prior entries, rather than submitting a new one.
   • Updating is easier, and also avoids any broken links from prior publicity.
6. Retail sales and promotions:
   • If you are a local hospitality partner and want to list a daily special or special sale or sales event, please submit these promotions as a special offer through our Extranet.

Fill out the fields below in order to submit your events to the Athens events calendar. We encourage submissions as early as possible:  6-8 weeks is not too early, and annual events should be submitted as soon as a date is confirmed to receive maximum promotion.

Please note: After clicking "Submit an Event," your event will be reviewed by our staff within 3 business days to ensure all information is complete and it meets our submission guidelines. You will be notified of the status once the submission is reviewed.
