Where Can I Park at The Classic Center?
Attending an event at The Classic Center or planning to go to a restaurant, shop, or other hot spot in Downtown Athens? Here are several convenient parking options at The Classic Center parking deck and nearby!
What are the directions to The Classic Center Parking Deck?
The Classic Center Parking Deck has four convenient entrances.
- You may enter The Classic Center parking deck at 300 North Thomas Street. This entrance is to Level 5 of the deck, which is street level for all of the excitement of Downtown Athens shops, restaurants, and entertainment.
- The South Entrance to The Classic Center parking deck is on West Broad Street. This entrance is to Levels 1 and 2 of the deck, which is the plaza level entrance to Akins Ford Arena and The Classic Center's Atrium and Foundry Street building.
- You may also enter the deck from Foundry Street. This entrance is to Level 2 of the deck, right beside the plaza entrance to Akins Ford Arena and The Classic Center's Atrium and Foundry Street building.
- Finally, there is onsite parking at The Classic Center's 440 Foundry Pavillion. This covered surface lot is designed for larger vehicles, including the all-important RVs for tailgating during UGA Football season! This lot may be in use for outdoor ice skating in the winter months or for other special events, in which case there will be signage directing you to the nearest alternative parking entrance.
The Classic Center parking deck offers onsite parking on a first-come, first-serve basis. Advance parking purchase is also available for many entertainment events, so be sure to look for that option while purchasing tickets.
Where is nearby parking for The Classic Center?
Because The Classic Center is right in Downtown Athens, the downtown Athens parking decks are also very convenient if onsite parking is full.
- The closest Downtown Athens parking deck is the Clarke County Courthouse deck, which is just across S. Thomas Street from The Classic Center. Insider Tip: The Courthouse deck is actually closer to The Classic Center's Athena ballrooms and meeting space than The Classic Center's onsite parking!
- Downtown Athens has additional parking decks that are only a few blocks away. Downtown Athens is very compact and walkable so it's all super convenient.
- The University of Georgia's North Campus Parking Deck is also just 3 blocks from The Classic Center.
