The Classic Center was recently chosen as one of 85 recipients for the Northstar Meetings Group’s 2017 Stella Awards. The Stella Awards recognize organizations in various categories and regions from around the globe that consistently deliver quality service and innovation to meeting and event professionals. The Classic Center was chosen as the winner for the Southeast.

We owe this achievement to all of our patrons, clients, employees and supporters who make us strive every day to be the best-of-the-best in customer service, hospitality and venue management.”

Stella honorees were recognized in various categories and regions in the United States and worldwide and exemplify excellence in the meetings and business events industry, including the very best hotels, convention centers, conference centers, convention and visitor bureaus, destination marketing organizations, destination management companies, airlines and cruise lines.

The Stella Awards spotlight hotels and suppliers that have achieved excellence in areas such as food and beverage, professionalism of staff, technology innovations, renovations, green initiatives and other critical aspects of the meetings and event experience. After nominations closed in May 2017, finalists in each category were determined by meeting planners during an open voting period. Winners were then selected by an expert panel of judges overseen by the editors of Northstar Meetings Groups leading brands, Meetings & Conventions and Successful Meetings.
