Visiting Athens for Twilight weekend? Check out the newest addition to the festival, the Apps & Taps craft beer and food invitational, hosted by Twilight and My Athens! On May 7, we will bring the community together to celebrate all the city’s stellar food and drink scene with 24 breweries and plenty of local food!
Twilight is a great time for Athenians and visitors alike to get together to celebrate the beginning of summer, cycling our commitment to community. This great weekend brings so much joy to our town, and My Athens is thrilled to be a part of that.
Apps & Taps will take place from 12-4 p.m on Washington Street, in the heart of downtown Athens. Not only will you get to enjoy a great brews and food but you will also have the best seat in the house to watch the races! A ticket gets you a 2-ounce tasting of beer from each brewery and a sampling of food from six different restaurants. These restaurants include South Kitchen + Bar, The Pine, Porterhouse Grill, Taziki’s, Five Bar, & Last Resort Grill, giving everyone the chance to delight their tastebuds with the wide array of offerings!
We’re so thrilled to offer two dozen incredible breweries in our line up. We’re is offering everything from Victory Brewing Company’s Summer Love to Westbrook’s special Mexican Cake. Perhaps the most exciting part of the event is the amount of money it stands to raise for Athens Area Habitat for Humanity, our beneficiary; a sold-out event would mean $30,000 raised toward the building of their next house, house #84, in the area.
