Athens' shopping landscape is packed with small local businesses that provide the city with an atmosphere that simply can’t be experienced elsewhere. Whether you’re seeking handcrafted goods, local flavor, vintage flair or high-fashion styles, Athens has delivered, and we want to ensure that these devoted makers and creators continue to thrive. Here are some ways you can support them.

This is an ongoing list of online shopping options for local Athens products. Know of others? Tell us!

Andree's Essential Soaps

Andree's soaps are always in good style, but particularly now when we are washing our hands more than ever as a first line of defense.  Andree's is also celebrating its 20th anniversary of making high-quality products for cancer and radiation patients, and is therefore an essential health business. She is taking phone orders and web orders with porch pickup. For online orders with porch pickup, just mention porch pickup in the comments section and they will deduct shipping cost from the cart total. Shipping is also available.

Avid Bookshop

While we're spending so much time at home, we can reach out to a good book to keep us company, and Avid Bookshop can deliver- figuratively and literally. While the storefront is temporarily closed, the online shop is still open. Browse through staff favorites, check out 2019 favorites, and  browse bestsellers. Avid currently offers free shipping on orders over $50.   Prefer audiobooks? Shopping on Libro.fm helps Avid too!
