Athens-Clarke County Unified Government and Athens Downtown Development Authority are proud to present the Downtown Parade of Lights.
The parade will begin on the corner of Hancock Avenue and Pulaski Street, continue through downtown, culminating with Santa Claus lighting the Christmas Tree in front of City Hall.
The parade includes the traditional tree lighting ceremony at City Hall hosted by none other than Santa.
This is a “rain or shine” event. If safety becomes an issue for participants and spectators due to severe weather, the parade may be cancelled by the event organizer.
