UPDATE from the event organizers: Due to the hurricane, the North Georgia Folk Festival on Saturday, October 10, will be cancelled. The 41st Annual North Georgia Folk Festival, produced by volunteers from the Athens Folk Music and Dance Society in partnership with Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services, is a much-anticipated fall festival with a diverse lineup of music, art, food, and activities. Every member of the family will find activities to enjoy during the festival, from live music performances to delicious food and a variety of art and crafts to explore. The North Georgia Folk Festival is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy a day at Sandy Creek Park in Athens, Georgia, and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of folk music and arts.
