Get ready for the fifth annual Athens Pride Parade, now combined with Pridefest for a full day of celebration.
The festival begins at 3:00 PM with a resource fair of nonprofits, local artists and makers, business vendors, food trucks, and much more. At the very end of Washington Street, you will find a large stage with a full roster of performers, including a DJ, drag performers, a live band, belly dancers, and a plethora of other performers that demonstrate the diversity of queer talent in our town.
At the other end of the festival, there is a Kids Zone with blow up attractions, face painting, games, and other activities. The Kids Zone closes at 8 PM, but the music and vendor fair continues until 11:00 PM.
The Athens Pride Parade steps off at 5 PM and circles downtown, taking place on Pulaski, Clayton, College, and Hancock Streets. The 2025 parade featured approximately 50 walking groups, 90 vendors, and 7,000 attendees, and event organizers expect 75 walking groups, 100 vendors, and 8,000 attendees this year.
Athens Pridefest and Parade is open and free to the public, with the only potential cost being if of-age individuals would like to purchase wristbands to drink alcoholic beverages in the Festival Zone.
