Athens Area Humane Society

Serving the people and animals of our community for over twenty-five years, the Athens Area Humane Society is a no-kill shelter in Athens, Georgia for cats, kittens, and other small domestic animals such as rabbits, rats, and guinea pigs. Our dog adoptions are expanding so please contact us for details. Each year, the Shelter cares for approximately 1,200 abandoned and stray animals, striving to adopt as many as possible into loving, lifelong homes.
