Meet the newest member of the Athens Bulldog Statues, Celeste. Installed in August 2024 on the grounds of the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education & Hotel, the statue was named in honor of The Savannah Room restaurant’s classic and popular Celestial Chicken dish. Celeste was hand-painted by Maci Foster and Emma Keisler, the two Georgia Center staff members and in-house artists. The bulldog proudly represents UGA's legacy, sporting a knit pullover in our school's colors and the iconic Power G logo on the chest. Dozens of larger-than-life bulldog statues stand guard throughout Athens, Georgia, a public art display that is fun for all ages. Whether you are a fan of public art, a die-hard UGA Bulldog, a kid or a kid at heart, you'll enjoy seeking out these statues while you're here!
