Community: upscale vintage fashion and accessories

Community is a locally owned store offering sustainable fashion and locally made goods from over 50 vendors.

Opened in 2010 by Sanni Baumgärtner, Community seeks to bring clothing to their clients while encouraging them to buy locally and sustainably.

In addition to sustainable fashion, there is a wide variety of artisan gifts made in and around Athens. These locally made items include handmade soaps, chocolates, jewelry, paper goods and home decor. Alteration services, sewing classes, personal styling, and closet consultations are also offered.

The name Community references another central goal of the boutique - to make the space one of comfort and creativity to everyone who enters the doors.

Community Service is the in-house brand of redesigned vintage clothing by owner Sanni Baumgärtner as a way to merge vintage fabrics and designs with current fashion. Sanni and her team work to update vintage clothing that, while not initially flattering, can still be reused to make beautiful, timeless clothing.
