Athens has long been charmed by its ginkgo trees. Starting in 2018, the Project Ginkgo mosaic project ensured that the distinctive leaves beautify the west end of Downtown year round. Local artist Krysia Ara completed the another installation, Soundscapes, at Georgia Theatre on Lumpkin Street. Project Ginkgo is funded by the Athens Downtown Development Authority.
