COVID-19 and the Parks - What You Need to Know:

In response to the current health concerns and safety at this time, all Leisure Services Department sponsored events, programs, rentals, and classes are suspended until April 7, 2020 in accordance with the 24/7 shelter in place ordinance enacted by the Athens-Clarke County Mayor and Commission on March 19, 2020.

Ben Burton Park, Dudley Park, Firefly Trail, Greenway, and Sandy Creek Nature Center trails are open to the public.  All athletic facilities, ball fields, buildings, courts, dog parks, playgrounds, and locations not mentioned above remain closed for the safety of staff and the public.   Please continue to practice social distancing and good hygiene.

The Leisure Services Department is working with Athens-Clarke County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) and reviewing information from the CDC and Public Health to monitor the Coronavirus (COVID-19). The safety and health of the public and our staff is always our highest priority.

We encourage all citizens to remain informed by visiting www.accgov.com/coronavirus.
