The Best Outdoor Dine & Drink Spots in Athens

Thursday, July 13, 2017 1:00 PM by Jenna Beals

Picking the perfect place to eat dinner, lunch, brunch or breakfast with your crew can be hard. Not only do you have to pick the cuisine, but the ambiance also factors into your perfect culinary experience. Do you want to be outdoors or indoors? Do you want solitude or live music? Cozy or modern?

I am a big believer that the atmosphere of a restaurant can make or break it. Having an outdoor patio area available really differentiates an eatery from their competition. Add some twinkly lights and idyllic weather, and you've got yourself the perfect location for family hangouts and first dates. Here is my list of 19 of my favorite patios in Athens, GA to dine and drink al fresco.

Athens, Home of Terrapin

Thursday, July 6, 2017 10:00 AM by Jenna Beals

With the opening of Suntrust Park, the Atlanta Braves new baseball stadium, came the opening of the Terrapin Taproom at the Battery (the area surrounding the stadium). This is a huge step for the company as non-Athenians are being introduced to this great brand. However, we can't forget the craft beers' roots, as all Terrapin roads lead back to Athens. If you want to learn even more about this popular brew, a trip to Athens is in store to see where it all began.
