Atlanta Symphony Orchestra: The Movie Music of John Williams
Relive some of your favorite movie moments when the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra brings the sounds of the silver screen to Hodgson Concert Hall on June 13th at 7:30pm for this special concert event! This symphonic concert features the orchestra playing music from the beloved film scores and Hollywood blockbusters of legendary composer John Williams, including Star Wars, Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, and much more.
Hot Corner Celebration & Soul Food Festival
For over 20 years, the Hot Corner Association has celebrated the African-American business community in Athens through its Hot Corner Festival. This block party style event, held on June 14th, 2025, brings together the best of Athens’ businesses, restaurants and entertainers for all Athenians to learn about and appreciate the diverse history of the Hot Corner.
Front Porch Book Store's Spring Concert Series
The series may say "Spring" but it's rocking through June! Enjoy an evening of entertainment through live music during Front Porch Book Store's spring concert series. These events are free and welcome to all! Bring chairs and blankets to listen to local musicians with family and friends. Food and drinks are available for purchase before and during each concert. Series performances by: New Orleans Jazz Stompers - June 14, Jim Cook - June 21, and Tracey and Jeff - June 28.
AthFest
Experience the vibrant pulse of Athens' music scene at AthFest, a dynamic celebration of local talent and the wonder of music! AthFest is a popular and widely known Athens Music and Arts Festival full of creative energy and talented artists and musicians. With live music of different genres, food for everyone, and an artists' market with various pieces for sale, this an exciting event that cannot be missed!
This three day festival transforms the bustling streets of Athens and showcases the richness of its arts/music scene. AthFest takes place June 20-22, 2025 in downtown Athens, and all outdoor music is free! For the kiddos, there will be a Kidsfest with kid-friendly bands, arts and crafts, inflatables and more fun for the whole family!

Sunflower Concert Series
The Sunflower Concert Series at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia invites the community to enjoy live music amidst the beauty of the garden. Held in the picturesque Flower Garden, these concerts provide an unforgettable experience. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs and picnic dinners to savor while enjoying the music. Each ticket includes snacks and beverages. This year, concerts will feature one band with no opening act. In case of inclement weather, concerts will be relocated to the Visitor Center and Conservatory. Concert lineup: June 17 – The Randall Bramblett Band, July 15 – The New Orleans Jazz Stompers, August 19 – Abbey Road LIVE!, and September 16 – The 80’s Walkmen.
