ROAD TO RECOVERY

The Athens CVB is privileged to represent our local hospitality industry during the road to recovery. Our community is ever-creative and is finding innovative ways to Go Safely with new and expanded outdoor dining options, re-imagining annual events such as AthHalf and Wild Rumpus, and launching new events such as drive-in and socially-distanced outdoor movies and concerts.

CVB staff are keeping up to date with the latest economic forecasts, travel sentiment data, and public health considerations.

Here are some current resources we'd like to share with our partners:

SALES UPDATES

CVB Director of Sales Nick Arnold traveled to the Georgia Society of Association Executives (GSAE) Annual Meeting, August 26-28, at the Hyatt Regency Savannah. GSAE incorporated safety and health initiatives to conduct a successful in-person event.

In addition to modeling safety protocols for gatherings, the meeting provided the opportunity for destinations such as Athens to meet personally with existing and prospective clients and to get feedback on future planning for the return of their in-person meetings.

Updates Needed!

Please keep your information current using our Partner Extranet. Not only will your updates get you in front of our audience at VisitAthensGA.com, but they will also make sure CVB staff know your latest information to help promote you via social media, to the press, and to meeting clients.

In particular, there's a new "Business Continuity" amenities area to be able to keep track of any changes in how you are conducting business-- these are some of the most-sought-after pieces of information on search engines right now.

We have new training videos posted to walk you through making updates:
